From Indian Shores to Global Seas!
India’s maritime workforce is growing steadily, strengthening its presence in global shipping.
The number of seafarers has increased by nearly 173% since 2014, rising from 1,17,090 to over 3.20 lakh in 2026, placing the country among the top three seafarer-supplying nations in the world.
At the same time, port turnaround time has reduced by 30%, making cargo movement faster and ports more efficient.
This progress highlights a strong focus on modern ports, skilled seafarers and stronger global trade links, supporting economic growth.
