_News_ | *Roula Bahnam exploits the war to keep destroying the Seal Cave* 👇 Despite recent efforts to stop the illegal construction at Roula Bahnam’s property in Amchit and protect the Seal Cave and its surroundings, workers were seen returning to the site today. They have already begun raising the fence to block the view, which violates building regulations. The steel foundations inside the site are in place for concrete pouring. However, a decision to halt work prevented this from happening in November 2025. Since 2020, former TV presenter Roula Bahnam has evaded and violated these decisions, exploiting the preoccupation of the people and the state with the war to continue destroying the site.

_News_ | *Graham: Gulf states should join the war against Iran* 👇 In an interview with Fox News today, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham urged Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to join the US-Israeli campaign against Iran. He argued that both countries should support the United States in confronting Tehran, noting that Washington supplies them with weapons and relies on their backing to secure shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and prevent a spike in oil prices. Graham stated that the outcome of this war will be the overthrow of the Iranian regime and its replacement with a US-friendly government, which would bring about a peace agreement and a new trade partnership between Saudi Arabia and Israel. Graham is considered one of the most prominent advocates for a war on Iran in the Republican Party

_News_ | *“Titanic” brings together Trump and Epstein*👇 For the third time in recent months, anonymous artists installed a new statue of US President Donald Trump in Washington on Tuesday morning, depicting him embracing Jeffrey Epstein. The piece recreates the famous scene from the film Titanic, with Trump standing behind Epstein at the bow of a ship, both gazing toward the Washington Monument in the pose Jack and Rose took in the film. A plaque placed at the base of the roughly 12-foot-tall statue, painted gold, refers to the friendship between the two men and links it to luxury trips, lavish parties, and secret nude drawings. Ten signs were also set up between the statue and the Capitol building, featuring a photo of Trump and Epstein alongside the slogan “Make America Safe Again,” as well as the Department of Justice logo with the word “Justice” removed. This is the third work the same artists installed at the site depicting the relationship between Trump and Epstein. In January, they placed a giant replica of a 2003 birthday card attributed to Trump. In September, they had installed a statue titled “Best Friends Forever,” showing the two men holding hands.

_News_ | *Amchit illegal construction site update: Environmental activist Farid Abi Younes still detained* 👇 Environmental activist Farid Abi Younes has been held at the Jbeil police station since yesterday, after he and a group of environmental activists went to Roula Bahnam’s illegal construction site in Amchit to try to stop the concrete pouring and prevent damage to the environmentally sensitive area above the Seal Cave. Three of the activists were assaulted by those in charge of the site, and one of them was taken to the hospital. Farid Abi Younes was referred to the military court for defending himself against an assault in front of security forces. He used pepper spray to fend off the attackers, some of which accidentally reached the security personnel. Although the officers involved did not file a complaint because they did not consider the incident to be a personal attack, the government commissioner filed charges against Abi Younes on behalf of the public interest. The security forces and judiciary ended up punishing activists who put themselves at risk to defend a resource the Lebanese government should have protected, instead of investigating Roula Bahnam’s violations and the environmental damage she is causing to the area around the Seal Cave, or holding those overseeing the construction—caught on camera—accountable for their attack on the activists.

_News_ | *The pope pushes back against the war secretary: God cannot be enlisted in darkness* 👇 Days after US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth claimed his country’s war on Iran was waged at God’s request, and that divine providence protects American troops in their attacks, Pope Leo XIV pushed back against those claims on Sunday. The pope emphasized the need to return to dialogue to reach peace, rather than wage wars and justify them in God’s name. In his Sunday homily, the pope again called for peace in the Middle East, mentioning Lebanon in particular, and addressed those he called “responsible” for the conflict: “Cease fire! Let paths of dialogue be reopened!”

_Number of the day_ | *80,000 worshippers defied Israeli restrictions and reached Al-Aqsa on the first Friday of Ramadan.*👇 Around 80,000 worshippers managed to reach Al-Aqsa Mosque, in defiance of an Israeli decision limiting Friday access during Ramadan to just 10,000 people. Israeli police deployed 3,000 officers across Jerusalem and prevented thousands of Palestinians from the West Bank from crossing to Al-Aqsa. According to the plan published by Israeli media, Israeli authorities require a prior daily permit for each individual. These permits are subject to security approvals, and worshippers must confirm their return to their hometowns at West Bank crossings. Israeli authorities also prohibit men under 55, women under 50, and children over the age of 12 from entering Al-Aqsa.
