🏚️ Boarded-up homes make my blood boil! Two houses on Connaught Street in Phibsborough boarded-up for decades while families are crying out for homes. These houses should be full of life, not left to rot in our communities. Enough is enough. It’s time for Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and Dublin City Council to do their jobs. Bring these houses back into use as homes for working people and families. Sign the petition and help demand action: https://c.org/qpWPKDcQ74

The price of home heating oil has doubled in a matter of days - and what’s Simon Harris’ answer? Ring the helpline. That’s not leadership. That’s passing the buck. People need action now. The government must crack down on price gouging to end this rip-off and put real supports in place to help families.

Cut the cost of petrol, diesel and home heating oil. Scrap the carbon tax increase. Deliver real cost of living support for workers and families. The government can do this with the stroke of a pen by backing our legislation tonight. Working people are under real pressure filling their cars and heating their homes - on top of groceries, electricity and other essentials. The government needs to listen and act now. I will keep doing all I can to have your back.

CONFIRMED: Sinn Féin’s Pearse Doherty has brought forward legislation to scrap the planned carbon tax increase, reduce taxes on petrol, diesel and home heating oil, and deliver real cost of living support for workers and families. These measures would provide immediate relief and take pressure off people. Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael need to stop dithering and pass this legislation without delay. People need leadership - and they need action now.

'What am I supposed to say to these families Minister who have literally nowhere to go?' - From today 60,000 people a year will face rent hikes of thousands of euros because of this government’s choices. This is happening when working families are paying more just to cover rip-off bills. 17,000 are homeless in a state with record surpluses, and the hope of a life here in Ireland is slipping out of reach for an entire generation. It doesn’t have to be this way. A better, fairer, united Ireland is possible.

It’s time for people power! Surging petrol and diesel prices. The largest home heating oil price hike in Europe. A scandalous rip-off and real stress for people. We need your help to pressure Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael to act. They must pass Sinn Féin’s Bill to immediately cut taxes on fuel when it comes before the Dáil. Contact your local government TD and demand they support the Bill. We’re fighting your corner all the way and you can make the difference! Let’s keep the pressure up! Tá daoine faoi bhrú ollmhór, caithfidh an rialtas gníomhú anois láithreach.

Today Simon Harris had the audacity to say the government is on the side of renters. Yet their Rent Hike Bill, coming into effect this weekend, will allow new rents to rise by 25%, hitting 60,000 renters each year. Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael have built a housing system that serves big landlords, developers and vulture funds - at the expense of ordinary working people. If they were truly on the side of renters, they would reverse this Bill and act now to end rip-off rents.

🤯 What's the Ministers solution for the 320,000 households behind on their energy bills - go to the Intreo offices! Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil failed to tackle the rip off and then pulled energy credits from workers and families when they needed it most. They need to listen to families, provide immediate support - including energy credits, and deliver long-term solutions to end this rip-off and make life more affordable.
