Sinn Féin are pressing government to back our bill that would make school costs more affordable including cutting the cost of uniforms. Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael can and must act to support families, make life affordable and invest in our school so that young people can have the best chance in life.

Simon Harris is the star of the show when it comes to broken promises. In a Budget of €9.4 billion - no money for a cost of living package, not a cent in a break in income tax for ordinary workers but plenty of money for rich executives, developers, and big landlords. People are sick of being ripped off. We’ll keep fighting for action to make life affordable for you and your family.

This do nothing government sits back allowing energy companies to hit households with massive electricity bill hikes this winter. They have the brass neck to tell people under huge pressure today to wait until next year for some pie-in-the-sky plan. Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael need to cop on and do their job. Reinstate energy credits as an immediate support, take on the price-gouging companies and act to end this rip-off.

It’s time comedians got the same opportunity as other artists. Today Aengus Ó Snodaigh is bringing forward the Arts (Recognition of Comedy) Bill which would finally add comedy to the Arts Act 2003| This would give comedians access to Arts Council funding and career support for the first time that other artists have access to. Ireland’s comedy scene deserves recognition and equal opportunities.

Same Government. Same failed housing plan, just repackaged. What we need is a radical reset of housing policy focused on building public housing on public land, getting rents under control, and opening up derelict homes. All of this is possible.
